The Gallery

Vittorio Emanuele Gallery is the stately arcade that links up the 1877.

It is cross-planned and over the octagonal centre, there is an iron and glass dome.

All sorts of shops and restaurants, blazing with lights, give it such an elegant atmosphere so that it is know as Milan's drawing room.

The octagon, in the middle, as always been a meeting point for musicians and opera singers.

The Gallery as always been considered the privileged centre of civil and political activities in Milan; its cafés and restaurants have always been patronized by artists, literary men and politicians.

The Gallery is considered, together with the Cathedral Square, the most beautiful "District of Milan", the most beautiful arcade in Italy and, perhaps, in Europe.
